 The second interim jury of the graduation project was held by the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English)


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) held its second interim jury session for graduation project students on May 5, 2025, as part of the 2024–2025 Spring Semester of the Academic Year.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English), held an interim jury session for graduation project students on May 5, 2025, as part of the 2024–2025 Spring Semester. The jury session, conducted with the participation of Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı and newly joining jury member Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk Dallı, provided a platform for students to present their hotel projects developed around original concepts. The projects were evaluated based on criteria such as functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and user experience. Constructive feedback provided by the jury contributed to students’ project improvements and supported their preparation for the final graduation stage. This interim evaluation marked a significant academic step in the department's mission of preparing students for the professional field.

Students of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) Department presented the hotel projects they had worked on extensively throughout the semester to the jury members. The jury session, led by Department Chair Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Research Assistants Mustafa Dallı and Tuğçe Öztürk Dallı, enabled students to assess their project progress and reconsider their academic goals.

Each student presented their hotel project shaped around a self-determined concept in detail, explaining aspects of functionality, aesthetics, user experience, and technical components, thereby expressing their individual design stance. The projects stood out for their creative concepts and original architectural approaches. The jury carefully evaluated the students’ presentation skills, conceptual coherence, and their adherence to sustainability criteria.

Throughout the evaluation, the projects were comprehensively analyzed in terms of spatial organization, material selection, environmental sensitivity, and user-centered design strategies. The jury offered constructive feedback and valuable suggestions to support students in further developing their projects. These insights not only contributed to students’ academic growth but also helped strengthen their professional identities.

The interim jury session allowed students to recognize the strengths and areas for improvement in their projects and further develop their creative problem-solving skills. Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı, and Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk Dallı expressed their satisfaction with the students’ motivation and dedication and extended their thanks to all participants. Such jury evaluations continue to play an essential role in the department’s commitment to raising the quality standards in professional education and preparing students for today’s interior design field.
