The final juries for Design Studio I, III, and V courses, conducted within the English Program of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), have been successfully completed.

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts has successfully concluded the final juries for the 2025-2026 Fall Semester. Projects developed by students throughout the semester were presented during evaluations where Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Asst. Prof. Volkan Öztaş, Lect. Serenay İnceoğlu, and Lect. Cansu Sözer served as both studio instructors and jury members. The projects, prepared within the scope of Design Studio I, III, and V, stood as the culmination of the students' intensive work throughout the term.

The final jury sessions were held according to the following schedule:
  • Thursday, December 25: Design Studio I
  • Monday, December 29: Design Studio V
  • Wednesday, December 31: Design Studio III
In the Design Studio I course, students developed projects based on the "Home-Office" theme, responding to contemporary working practices. These projects emphasized the integration of residential and workspaces, flexibility, ergonomics, and user needs.

In Design Studio III, students focused on Restaurant-Cafe Design, concentrating on user experience, circulation patterns, spatial atmosphere, and conceptual integrity.

The projects prepared for Design Studio V addressed the more complex programming of Cultural Center Design. Students reflected public use, multi-functionality, spatial hierarchy, and the relationship between the building and the city in their design processes.

The academic jury evaluations addressed the students' development in the design process from a multi-dimensional perspective, contributing to the reinforcement of their professional and academic competencies through critical feedback. The final juries were completed as an intensive and productive academic process, serving as a concrete evaluation of the studio-based education approach of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.

We congratulate all our students for their hard work throughout the semester and extend our gratitude to our instructors and jury members for their valuable contributions.
