2023-2024 Academic Year Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish & English) Mixed Student Projects Exhibition Opened!
The Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, organized the “2023-2024 Academic Year Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish & English) Mixed Student Projects Exhibition” as part of the 2023-2024 academic year.
The Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, showcased student works in its “2023-2024 Academic Year Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish & English) Mixed Student Projects Exhibition” as part of the 2023-2024 academic year. The event took place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the IGU J Block lobby area, where the department’s students presented their projects to a broad audience. At the opening, IGU Board of Trustees Chairman Abdülkadir Gayretli, Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, and Head of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol gave opening speeches.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdülkadir Gayretli emphasized the importance of inaugurating the newly renovated lobby area with such an exhibition, while Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol highlighted the creative and innovative aspects of the projects displayed in the field of interior architecture and environmental design. At the event, faculty members Asst. Prof. Semih Göksel Yıldırım and Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, as well as students Havvanur Çaşka and Melek Şahin, who contributed to the lobby area’s design, were presented with plaques in recognition of their contributions.
Following the opening remarks, the event continued with a tour of the exhibition and a detailed examination of the projects. This exhibition, featuring projects developed by students from both the Turkish and English programs throughout the semester, highlighted the department’s academic and creative potential, offering students an opportunity to understand industry expectations and expand their professional networks.
