Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) has held a significant meeting as part of its vision to blend educational quality with the dynamics of the industry. Organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) Department of Graphic Design, the external stakeholder meeting focused on the future of university-industry cooperation and the educational strategies to be implemented in the new term.
The meeting hosted Meryem Baltacı, a representative from MAW Agency, as an external stakeholder. From the department’s academic staff, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuri Sezer, Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla, and Res. Asst. Dr. Ceren İren were in attendance. During the discussions, comprehensive proposals were shared on how academic knowledge can be more efficiently integrated with sectoral experience.
The primary agenda of the meeting consisted of innovations planned for the upcoming academic period. Discussions centered on updating the curriculum in line with sectoral expectations and developing projects to accelerate students' adaptation to professional life.
Decisions were specifically made regarding:

These strategic discussions aim to ensure that students grasp the expectations of the business world before graduating and develop their technical skills accordingly. In light of the feedback from external stakeholders, the Department of Graphic Design will continue its experience-oriented educational approach in the upcoming term, consistently providing the industry with fully-equipped designers.
