 Graphic Design Department external stakeholder meeting held


The Graphic Design Department (GRA) of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) held an external stakeholder meeting to enhance educational quality and strengthen industry ties. During the meeting, which featured prominent industry representatives, Spring semester activities and collaborative projects were planned to broaden students' professional visions.


The Graphic Design Department of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) met with industry stakeholders in line with its vision of preparing students for the professional world. During the meeting, where academic knowledge was blended with sectoral practices, the contributions of the university-industry cooperation model to educational processes were discussed.
Leading ındustry names and academic staff together The meeting was attended by external stakeholders Barbaros Kıskaç, photographer, advertiser, and owner of Art Records Studio, and Can Baltacı from MAW Advertising Agency. Representing the IGU Faculty of Fine Arts, Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem Köroğlu and Res. Asst. Dr. Ceren İren participated in the discussions, which focused on joint projects aimed at developing students' creative thinking skills and technical competencies.
Applied eEducation-oriented planning for the spring semester the main agenda of the meeting consisted of activities to be implemented within the scope of the upcoming spring semester. In this direction, it was decided to organize an applied workshop within the Photography course, where Barbaros Kıskaç will share his sectoral experiences. This planning aims to ensure that students acquire new approaches they can utilize in both their personal projects and professional design processes.
Professional vision and preparation for the future enriched with interactive content, these collaborations aim to prepare students as well-equipped individuals with high awareness for professional life, moving beyond theoretical knowledge alone. The Graphic Design Department continues to integrate industry stakeholders as an essential part of the curriculum through its experience-oriented education approach.
The meeting concluded following the planning of projects to be realized in the new term and a mutual exchange of ideas.
