The "Use of MAXQDA in the Data Analysis Process" training was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Food Technologies, Nutrition and Gastronomy Thematic Field Group.

The training on MAXQDA Use in the Data Analysis Process, jointly organized by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and the Food Technologies, Nutrition and Gastronomy Thematic Field Group, was held on Monday, December 5, 2022, between 10.00-17.00 in G Blok Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall. The training, in which many academicians participated, was open to all Faculty of Fine Arts academics and Food Technologies, Nutrition and Gastronomy Thematic Field Group.

The Basics First

Training on the use of the “MAXQDA” program, which is a Professional Data Analysis Software program for Qualitative & Mixed Methods and is frequently used in many different fields, was organized by a private company. The training, which appealed to academics, continued throughout the day in an interactive way. Instructor Burak Varol started the training with a short introduction by first giving information about the program. Afterwards, the training continued by addressing the relevant topics during the specified training period.

An Intensive Education Program

Introductory level training was basically planned to have five stages. In the training, a Basic Introduction to MAXQDA, Encoding Options with MAXQDA, Analysis of Audio and Video Files with MAXQDA, Social Media Analysis with MAXQDA, and Data Analysis with MAXQDA were carried out in detail with five stages and sub-titles. In order for the program to be learned thoroughly, the instructor should first explain in detail "What is MAXQDA?", "what is it used for?", "interface introduction", "how to create a project file to start analysis?", "how to code?" The subject was elaborated with examples by emphasizing such topics. The questions of the academicians participating in the training were answered and the training was concluded.

At the end of the training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan presented a certificate of appreciation to instructor Burak Varol, followed by a group photo shoot.

We would like to thank Burak Varol for the information he conveyed during the training! We would also like to thank all our lecturers who participated in the training!
