 New work from Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan!


A new article of Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan, one of the vice deans of Istanbul Gelisim University (İGÜ), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) and a lecturer of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, was published.


Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan's article titled “Women Entrepreneurs' Attitude Against Traditional Foods: Bingöl Case” was published. The article was published in Turkish Journal of Marketing (TUJOM). In the study, Doğan and others aimed to determine the traditional food knowledge levels of female entrepreneurs in Bingöl and entrepreneurship attitudes towards these foods.

Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan made the following explanations about the article:

The aim of this study is to determine the traditional food knowledge levels of women entrepreneurs in Bingöl province and their entrepreneurship attitudes towards these foods. In the study, semi -structured interview technique, descriptive and content analysis methods were used in the study and phenomenology was used. The sample of the study was composed of ten female entrepreneurs residing in Bingöl with the criterion sampling group. The data obtained from the interviews, the Maxqda program by using content analysis (1) female entrepreneur; (2) The benefit of the development of the province; (3) Incentive status; (4) Traditional food; (5) Marketing methods and (6) are categorized as six themes to support the budget. Research findings were examined and it was determined that the level of knowledge of traditional foods of women entrepreneurs residing in Bingöl was quite high. While the participants produce and sell the main materials of the traditional foods they sell from the materials produced and sold by the local people, some participants produce and use some of the main materials themselves. As a result, it was found that the level of knowledge of women entrepreneurs in Bingöl province is sufficient and their entrepreneurship attitudes towards traditional foods were positive.
