 Hidden Dangers in Food; Food Allergies and Their Effects on Health!

From Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin participated in Gökkuşağı College's "Teacher Training Webinar Program".

Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin, one of the academic members of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, gave training within the scope of the "Teacher Training Webinar Program" organized for teachers by Gökkuşağı College between 13-17 November 2023. With the schools going on holiday in November, Gökkuşağı College organized a webinar program for its teachers. Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin also spoke in this program titled “Hidden Dangers in Food; she gave a training presentation titled "Food Allergies and Their Effects on Health". Classroom Teachers, Science and Physical Education Teachers from Gökkuşağı College attended the presentation. In the program, the calendar is held online via Zoom, Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin, who made her presentation on November 16 at 11:00, talked about food allergies.

Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin, who also studied food allergies in her master's thesis, talked about "What is Nutrition?", "Food Safety", "Cross Contamination and Cross Contact", "Food Poisonings", "Food Allergies", "Food Intolerance" and “Labeling and Legislation". This training, which is especially important to inform classroom teachers about food allergies in children, aims to increase the level of awareness.
