 Future Chefs Wear Their Chef's Uniforms With Ceremony!


A chef's uniform-wearing ceremony was held for the students of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Gastronomy and Culinary Arts departments, as well as future chefs.


A chef's uniform-wearing ceremony was held for the students of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Gastronomy and Culinary Arts departments, as well as future chefs.

The first year students of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Fine Arts Faculty (FAF), Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Applied Sciences Faculty, Turkish-English Gastronomy and Culinary Arts departments wore their chef's uniforms in the ceremony. The ceremony, which was held for the second time this year, was held on Friday, December 9 at the J Blok Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall. At the ceremony, which started with the reminder of the history of the chef's uniform, the heads of the departments gave their speeches and dressed the students in their jackets.

At the ceremony, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Head Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak, Head of the Department of Turkish Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Faculty of Applied Sciences Asst. Prof. Dr. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu, and finally Asst. Prof. Dr. Sema Aydın, Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts English gave their speeches. The heads of the departments dressed the students of the departments their chef's uniforms. Then the photo shoot was done.

Cookery Oath

After all the students in the three departments put on their uniforms, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan took the podium to have the students read the "Cookery Oath". After Doğan, the students repeated the cookery oath. After the oath of cookery, the students were invited to the stage again and a souvenir photo was taken together with the faculty members.
