Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department held a comprehensive orientation event on Erasmus+ processes on Thursday, April 10 at 15:00 in order for students of the department to benefit from education and internship opportunities abroad. The event was held in the J Block 317 classroom of the university.

Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan, Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu and Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Engin, who are academic staff of the department, attended the orientation. In addition to the department's academic staff, the orientation was attended with great interest by mostly third and fourth year students. Mehmet Emin Çetinberk, an International Exchange and Cooperation Specialist working at Istanbul Gelişim University's International Exchange and Cooperation Coordination Office, participated as a speaker at the orientation event and made a presentation. Çetinberk provided detailed information on topics such as the scope of Erasmus+ internship mobility and educational mobility programs, application processes, selection criteria, grants and living conditions and education abroad. He also emphasized that these opportunities, where students can turn their theoretical knowledge into practical applications in an international environment, will contribute to both their professional development and their personal vision.

In the Q&A session held at the end of the orientation, students individually asked questions to Expert Mehmet Emin Çetinberk about topics they were curious about. In particular, topics such as issues to be considered in internship applications, communication processes with partner universities and accommodation alternatives were emphasized. Çetinberk meticulously answered all questions and provided guiding information to the participants.

The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department plans to continue its orientations to support vocational training processes in the next internship period.

We would like to thank our students who participated in the orientation, and we would also like to thank Mehmet Emin Çetinberk, International Exchange and Cooperation Specialist, for his presentation and information.
