 Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan Participates in a Symposium!


Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan, one of the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) and a faculty member of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, participated in two different symposiums.


1. Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan participated in the ‘II. International Congress of Mesopotamian Faith and Culture Tourism’ hosted by the Republic of Turkey Mardin Artuklu University. The symposium was held on December 5-7, 2024. Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan made an oral presentation at the symposium with his paper titled “Evaluation of Gastronomy Elements in the Muqaddimah of Ibn Haldun (d. 1406)”.

2. Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan participated in the ‘7th International Social Sciences Symposium’ hosted by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The symposium was held on December 13-15, 2024. Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan made oral presentations with his paper titled “Hyperreality in Food and Beverage Business Strategies: Competitive Advantage and Challenges” and “Transformation of Food and Beverage Businesses According to Postmodern Management Approaches” at the symposium he attended.
