 2023-2024 Academic Year Fall Term Academic Board Meeting Has Been Held!


Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) Academic Council Meeting for the Fall Semester of the 2023-2023 Academic Year was held on September 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM in the IGU Tower Auditorium No. 347 under the chairmanship of Dean Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, with the participation of academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts.


Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), held its Academic Council Meeting for the Fall Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year under the chairmanship of Dean Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, with the participation of academic and administrative staff from the Faculty of Fine Arts, on September 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM in IGU Tower Auditorium No. 347. The Academic Council Meeting was attended by full-time academic staff and hourly-paid teaching staff from the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The meeting began at 12:00 PM in Auditorium No. 347 at the IGU Tower campus. In the opening segment of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Dean of IGU FFA, delivered the opening speech, conveying best wishes for the new academic period to the participants. Continuing her speech with an evaluation of past periods, Ms. Ilıcak Aydınalp discussed various activities, social responsibility projects, student/teaching staff exhibitions, and academic work conducted. The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts expressed her gratitude to all academic personnel, especially Research Assistants, for their contributions to these activities. She also emphasized that despite a limited number of teaching staff in the faculty, remarkable achievements had been made. Additionally, detailed discussions were held on general agendas related to education and teaching.

The second part of the Academic Council Meeting, attended by a strong presence of academic and administrative staff from the Faculty of Fine Arts, featured each department head within the Faculty of Fine Arts being given the floor to present the department's goals and strategies for the new academic period. All department heads provided an assessment of their departments' past performance and discussed their plans for the upcoming period. Additionally, there was an exchange of information regarding developments within the faculty, academic activities, and projects.
