First-year students from the Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences (ASF) Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, and English Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department participated in the apron-dressing ceremony, which was held for the first time this year.
The ceremony, Gastronomy, and Culinary Arts Departments Coordinator It was opened with the speech of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Çöp. In his speech, he talked about how the three departments were established, the situation of gastronomy in Turkey, and how important the English section is to promoting Turkish Cuisine.
After Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Çöp's speech, first of all, the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak took the podium to give her speech. At the end of the speech, the names of the students were read one by one and they were invited to the stage to put on their uniforms. Students wearing their uniforms and department professors posed for photos on the stage.

The ceremony flowed by FAF Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Head Prof. Dr. After Aslı Albayrak, ASF Gastronomy, and Culinary Arts Department Head asst. Prof. Dr. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu and Head of English Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department By making the speeches of its member asst. Prof. Dr. Sema Aydın proceeded to dress the department students in their uniforms.
After all the students in the three departments put on their uniforms, the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak took the podium again to have the students read the Culinary Pledge. After Albayrak, the students repeated the oath of cooking. After the oath, the students took a souvenir photo together with all the teachers on the stage. After the photo shoot was finished, Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Çöp presented the Professional Cookery Training at MYK Gastro Arena to the student with the highest average among the students who attended the ceremony.

After the Culinary Oath, the event came to an end after the refreshments prepared by our department students for the students to meet and socialize and the music club took the stage.
