Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, one of our faculty members, received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Tourism - Gastronomy and Culinary Arts in addition to Food Engineering.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, who received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Food Engineering in 2022, was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor in the relevant field as a result of his studies in the field of Tourism - Gastronomy and Culinary Arts on August 26, 2024, in addition to his studies in food engineering.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan expressed his thoughts as follows: “Gastronomy is a multidisciplinary branch of science, this field needs to transform and develop with the perspectives of different disciplines. However, it would be very appropriate for the planned studies to be carried out without ignoring the essence of gastronomy. I think that the essence of gastronomy as a main branch of science is a social sciences related to Tourism and a perspective of culinary applications inspired by engineering. In this context, I try to contribute to the engineering, social sciences and art aspects of gastronomy with my academic studies.”
