The articles of the 'IGU Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation' regarding students who have the right to take these exams are stated below:

Article 25 (3) Except for the attendance requirement, students who are successful or conditionally successful in all courses other than a theory-oriented course in the curriculum, can apply to the relevant deanery/directorate with a petition and take a single course exam in the relevant course on the dates specified in the academic calendar, without requiring registration for the course. Contribution of semester activities is not required in calculating the success grade of these courses. A student who fails a single course exam must re-register for the course in the following academic year. After retaking the course, the student can take the single course exam again on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Students who fail a practical or practice-oriented course that requires attendance are not given the right to take a single course exam. Additionally, the student cannot apply for both a single course and a GPA increase exam within the same exam period.

Article 25 (3) Have taken all the courses in the curriculum and have been successful or conditionally successful; but could not graduate because their GPA was less than 2.00 out of 4.00; Associate degree students are given the right to take a GPA increase exam in the first two semesters of their curriculum, and undergraduate students are given the right to take GPA increase exams on the dates specified in the academic calendar, for courses other than the first four semesters of their curriculum and for which attendance is not compulsory. The grade received by the student who takes the GPA increase exam is processed as the success grade. Students who fail the GPA increase exam can take the GPA increase exam again in the following academic year in the courses they want, with the same application conditions, without being required to enroll in courses. However, students who fail by receiving a letter grade (FF) in the GPA increase exam must enroll in the courses they failed in the following academic year and pay the tuition fee per course/credit. Additionally, the student cannot apply for both a GPA increase and a single course exam within the same exam period.
