 New article by Assoc. Prof. Aysun Cançat from Graphic Design department!
Assoc. Prof. Aysun Cançat, a faculty member of the Graphic Design Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), has made a new academic contribution to the world of art and design. Her article, titled "A Selection of Artistic Projections of the Circle from Different Beliefs and Cultures to the Present Day," was published in 2024 in ART/İcle: Journal of Art and Design, Volume 4, Issue 1, pages 13-32.

Assoc. Prof. Aysun Cançat, from the Graphic Design Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), explores the artistic representations of the circle form across different cultures and belief systems throughout history in her latest study. The article delves into the symbolic meanings that the circle motif has acquired in various cultures, examining its broad significance in art.

In this work, Cançat analyzes the symbolic meanings of the circle, tracing its artistic projections throughout art history. Readers are offered a profound cultural and artistic perspective as the article navigates the deep significance of this form across different periods and societies.
