Prepared through the collective production of five young artists, the exhibition explores the relationship between individual experiences and social realities through the interdisciplinary possibilities of contemporary art. The works presented address a wide range of themes—from artificial intelligence analyses to urban memory, and from human–machine relations to narrative-based practices—opening discussions on identity, belonging, suppressed emotions, and social transformation. In this respect, the exhibition offers a critical perspective on how individuals construct and represent themselves in the digital age.
Batuhan Aysan, a student of the Visual Communication Design Department at IGU Faculty of Fine Arts, focuses on the fragmented and continuously reconstructed nature of identity in his work titled “Eksik Motif” (Incomplete Motif). Centered on the concepts of absence, completion, and memory, Aysan’s work makes visible the relationship between individual experience and collective narratives. The work presents a critical inquiry into how identity is continuously reshaped within both personal and social contexts.
The exhibition consists of works by Aydanur Akkut, Sevde Duman, İzem Ayşegül Topal, Batuhan Aysan, and Kader Barış. During the online opening event, the artists shared insights into their creative processes and discussed the conceptual frameworks behind their works with the audience.
It is planned that “Kimlik 5.0: A Multi-Layered Exhibition Journey” will also meet art audiences in a physical exhibition format in the coming period.
