Purpose of Department

The Visual Communication Design department aims to train students to become designers who can combine aesthetics and functionality, effectively use visual communication, think analytically, and produce creative and innovative solutions.

The Visual Communication Design department, which anticipates the demands of a digital and technology-driven economy, is becoming more valuable than ever in a transforming era. Technology is also shaping the designer of the future. With the development of innovative applications such as the Metaverse, artificial intelligence, and NFTs, there will be a growing need for individuals who can implement visual communication forms in these applications. These applications are bringing design and communication fields into the mainstream. Users in the rising market are demanding new and richer experiences, and there is an increasing need for individuals who can apply visual communication.

Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer

It is possible to transfer horizontally between programs within the Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts.


Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer

All students who wish to transfer to our department through the vertical transfer process must take the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and, if they score sufficiently, will be placed by ÖSYM.
