Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About the Summer Internship
1. Is the summer internship mandatory?
Yes. The summer internship is compulsory for students in the Visual Communication Design undergraduate program. In order to graduate, students must complete a total of 60 working days of internship (30 + 30 days).
2. When can I do my internship?
Students may begin their mandatory internship after completing their second year (after the 4th semester).
Internships can be completed in two phases:

First Phase Internship: 30 working days

Second Phase Internship: 30 working days
These two internships must total 60 working days.
3. Where can I do my internship?
The internship must be conducted at an institution relevant to the department’s field.
Suitable places include advertising agencies, design studios, media companies, digital agencies, and film/production companies operating in creative sectors. The suitability of the institution is subject to committee approval.
4. How do I apply for the internship?
All internship applications must be submitted online via the OBIS system.

5. Do I need to print and submit the application documents physically?
No. All documents must be completed digitally, saved as PDF files, and uploaded to the OBIS system. Physical submission of documents is not required.
6. How should the internship report (diary) be prepared?
The internship report must be written digitally, with a daily entry for each working day. The language must be formal and academic, using passive voice. Reports should be supported with visuals and submitted as a single PDF file via OBIS.
7. Can I handwrite my internship report?
No. Handwritten reports will not be accepted. All content must be prepared digitally and submitted through the online system.
8. What if my internship supervisor refuses to sign the required forms?
For your internship to be considered valid, the required forms must be signed and stamped by the company representative. Unsigned documents will be considered invalid.
9. What happens after I submit the report and documents?
All submitted documents will be reviewed by the Internship Committee. If any document is missing or contains errors, feedback will be provided to the student through the system.
