During the meeting, Bikiç shared detailed information about the project’s thematic scope, production process, and the gala screening planned upon completion. The visit also served as a platform for discussing potential collaborations between Istanbul Gelişim University and the Gökçeada District Governorate in the fields of culture and education.
The conversation touched on career workshops for prospective students, creative media initiatives targeting youth, and projects designed to highlight the island’s unique cultural assets. Both parties emphasized the importance of making Gökçeada’s natural and cultural heritage more visible through sustainable and community-focused initiatives.
Following the meeting, Lecturer Ahmet Bikiç stated, “Gökçeada is not only a natural backdrop for filmmaking—it represents an inspiring model for sustainable living. With ‘Ada Kokusu’, we aim not only to portray this lifestyle but also to offer young audiences a fresh perspective. We are grateful for the District Governor’s hospitality and forward-thinking approach, and we believe this exchange will lead to more comprehensive projects in the future.”
Produced under the leadership of IGU FFA, “Ada Kokusu” focuses on environmentally conscious living practices, local life, and the impact of natural production on human and ecological well-being. The project is expected to contribute meaningfully to environmental awareness and local development.
