Cinema is not merely a medium of image production; it is an expressive field that rebuilds life, asks questions, and expands the boundaries of imagination. With this understanding, Future Scope aims to highlight not only the films, but also the creative minds behind them, making visible the perspectives that will shape the cinematic language of the future.
The festival will take place on 5–6 December 2025 at the Istanbul Gelisim University campus. The program will include finalist screenings in the categories of fiction, documentary, experimental and animation. Following the screenings, director talks, panel sessions, and sector-focused evaluations will offer a comprehensive meeting ground for discussions on film production.
Officials from the Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts emphasize that the festival is not merely a competition, but a platform committed to supporting the creative output of emerging filmmakers and strengthening their connection with the industry. The Department of Public Relations and Publicity, responsible for the communication and visibility aspect of the event, aims to expand the festival’s outreach at both national and international levels.
The Future Scope International Short Film Festival will be open to all cinema enthusiasts who wish to witness the transformative power of film, explore new narrative possibilities, and discover the directors of the future.
