The application process, which began on February 8, will end on February 28, 2026, at 23:59. Applications are submitted online through the Turkish National Agency’s new system, the TURNA Portal (https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/).
The Erasmus+ Student Mobility program aims to contribute to students’ academic, professional, and cultural development by offering opportunities to study or undertake internships abroad. The program provides an important opportunity for students who wish to gain international experience, improve their foreign language skills, and develop a global perspective.
Application Guides Must Be Reviewed Before Applying
Students who plan to apply are strongly advised to carefully review the 2026 Project Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility Application Guide, the 2026 Project Year Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility Application Guide, and the Individual Application Manual before completing their application via the TURNA Portal. Since the system is newly implemented, reviewing the guides is essential to ensure that all application steps are completed correctly.
The following documents are required during the application process:
An up-to-date and approved Transcript
A Foreign Language Certificate (for students requesting exemption from the university language exam)
All documents, except for the photograph, must be uploaded to the system in PDF format
Study and Traineeship Mobility Options
Erasmus+ Student Mobility consists of two main activity types: Study Mobility and Traineeship Mobility. Students may apply for both types. However, in this case, they must upload a Priority Petition to the TURNA Portal indicating which mobility type they prioritize.
Within the scope of Study Mobility, students may study at partner universities for one semester or one academic year. When making preferences, students should carefully review departmental agreements, language of instruction, and any special requirements.
Traineeship Mobility allows students to undertake full-time internships abroad for a minimum of two months. Final-year students are eligible to apply for traineeship mobility. Students who apply during their active enrollment period may complete their traineeship within 12 months after graduation under the Erasmus+ framework. Applicants who submit an acceptance letter during the application process receive additional points.
Application Requirements
Associate degree, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who have an established GPA may apply for Erasmus+ Student Mobility. The minimum GPA requirement is 2.20 for associate and undergraduate students, and 3.00 for master’s and doctoral students.
Preparatory class students, graduates, and final-year students applying for study mobility are not eligible to apply. Students may benefit from the Erasmus+ program for a maximum total duration of 12 months at each level of study.
An Important Opportunity for International Experience
The Erasmus+ program not only provides students with international academic experience but also supports intercultural interaction, foreign language development, and the creation of a strong CV. Istanbul Gelişim University continues to enhance its students’ global competitiveness and support their international experiences through Erasmus+ activities.
For students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Erasmus+ mobility remains a valuable opportunity to engage with different cultures, experience creative production processes in international environments, and broaden their professional vision. The deadline for completing applications is February 28, 2026, at 23:59.
