Inspiring Stories from Rural Women Entrepreneurs in Iğdır
Filmed in the microclimatic region of Iğdır, the documentary carefully explores the stories of local women who actively participate in agricultural production. Their efforts to process and commercialize goods such as dried apricots, jams, pickles, and marmalades are documented in detail. By focusing on their roles in rural economic development, the film seeks to inspire future generations and promote women's entrepreneurship in rural areas.
“Women as the Silent Force of Production”
Director Ahmet Bikiç shared the motivation behind the project:
“With this documentary, we set out to trace not only organic production, but also the labor, dedication, love for the land, and the often-overlooked contributions of women to the production process. I wanted to show that these women are not just producers—but carriers of hope. Making their silent strength and their bond with nature visible was the driving force behind this film.”
