“Let Women Exist Everywhere, in Every Occupational Group”

Selin Sakman, who works as the Director of Broadcasting Operator at NTV Doğuş Broadcasting Group, shared her experiences of being a woman in business life. Sakman, who started his education life in the Department of Radio and Television at Communication High School, started to take part in the television industry during his high school years. Salman, who is currently working in the television industry, in the technical field, prepared himself for his career by refreshing his high school knowledge and adding new ones to it, with the Radio, Television, and Cinema education he received at Istanbul Gelişim University. Stating that he has been doing his job with love since the first day, Sakman added that the relationships established in the working environment are very important after the person loves his profession. Expressing that she was exposed to oppressive thoughts in her working life because she was a woman, Sakman stated that she wanted to distance herself from the sector by saying that many people do "men's work" because she works in a male-dominated sector. Saying that no profession can be subject to a distinction between men and women, Sakman emphasized that women can be active in every line of business. Expressing that he is proud of himself for not giving up and that he will continue to move forward with sure steps, Sakman added that he will continue to work and struggle to move people away from discriminatory perspectives towards women.

Let women exist everywhere, in every profession. Let's look at each other and be proud and appreciative. As women, we are all very valuable and talented. Happy Working Women's Day to all our women. We would like to thank Selin Sakman, a graduate of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, for her participation in the panel, and wish her continued success.

The panel activity, in which the students showed great interest, ended with questions and opinions.
