Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) organized diction and voiceover training as the first step of its “Audiobook for the Visually Impaired” social responsibility project, in collaboration with the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema.

The Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), together with the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (TR and EN) and the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, initiated the *Audiobook for the Visually Impaired* social responsibility project, beginning with diction and voiceover training on Monday, November 11, 2024. The event, held in J Block-393 Mini Cinema Hall-2, featured voice artist Elif Yılmaz, who led students in a workshop designed to improve their skills in creating professional audiobook content for visually impaired individuals.

During the event, volunteer students had the opportunity to learn diction and voiceover techniques under professional guidance. Ms. Elif Yılmaz covered key topics, including proper breathing techniques, articulation, and lip and tongue exercises essential for effective voiceover. She also shared her experience in the field and offered tips for students to use in their audiobook projects. A Q&A session allowed students to gain insights into the nuances of the voiceover industry.

Faculty members attending the event included Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu and Research Assistant Okan Kırbacı from the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, along with Research Assistant Mustafa Dallı from the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department. The event, which contributed to the diction and voiceover skills of the volunteer student team, concluded with the presentation of a plaque to Elif Yılmaz in appreciation of her contributions.
