Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan Became UFF Director!
Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, Chair of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, became the director of the International Uşak Short Film Festival.
Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan has become the new director of the International Uşak Short Film Festival, which has made a name for itself as a well-established short film festival and will be held for the 11th time this year.
Acting with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of the short film field and the development of cinema culture in Türkiye, the International Uşak Short Film Festival is held every December in Uşak and Istanbul. Students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department took an active role in the festival, which was also supported by Istanbul Gelisim University in the last two years.
Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan describes the International Uşak Short Film Festival as "one of the rare festivals that has 'real' festival qualities and does not forget its founding principles among the increasing number of short film festivals in our country." Stating that it is his first responsibility as the new director to continue the vision created by Onur Keşaplı, who was the founder of the festival and served as its director for 10 years, and to ensure that it develops in a more distinctive way, Doğan added that he is happy to be an important part of a valuable organization and a precious memory. He added, "Hope to meet you in good days when festivals like UFF will increase and festivals that emerge to get money from municipalities and exploit people's emotions will disappear." He ended his words with his wishes.
We wish Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan success in his new position.
