Organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Fine Arts Faculty (FAF) Radio, Television and Cinema Department, speaker, presenter and trainer Aynur Ayaz attended the talk titled Television and Art Journalism, conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker.
Aynur Ayaz, who has been a presenter and announcer in many different fields on television for many years, conveyed her experiences and the development of the television programming field, which has transformed over the years, and the effects of this development on our day.
Emphasizing that social media is a power and one of the important factors of change in this field, Ayaz stated that the viewing rates in social media carry more authentic data than the ratings on television, and that digital broadcasting offers the opportunity to reach more people. Continuing his social media programs such as "Ramadan with Aynur Ayaz" and "Life with Aynur Ayaz" on his personal social media accounts, Ayaz underlined the possibility of being closer with the audience. Emphasizing sincerity, Ayaz stated that he created a sincere question-and-answer cycle by asking even the questions that the audience sometimes hesitated to ask, to experts in their fields, and created an environment where the audience could make their voices heard and find answers to their questions.
Regarding the changing understanding of presenting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker pointed out the difference between the way of presenting and interpreting news by veteran names in the past and the way of interpreting news presenters today. On the subject, Ayaz stated that the presenter has evolved into an understanding shaped according to today's demand, that the audience wants to hear biased comments, and that the power of expressing and commenting on social media is effective in this change.
Ayaz, who gives advice to the participants who want to advance in the field of television programming and journalism, said that doing the job with love brings with it working, reading, watching and researching, and that students who are studying in this field can learn a lot from their teachers and then from the experienced names in the sector when they enter the sector. and emphasized the importance of developing themselves in the fields of digital publishing.
