We Had An Interview With Interior Architecture Department Student Beyzanur Müslim!

We had a pleasant interview with Beyzanur Müslim, a 2nd year student of Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture, about her education process and future plans.

-Hello Beyzanur, first of all, can you tell us about yourself? What were your reasons for choosing the Department of Interior Architecture and have there been any changes in your views during the period you continued your education?

Hello, I am Beyzanur Müslim. I am a 2nd year student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Department of Interior Architecture. Since my childhood, I loved designing and shaping that environment according to my dreams when I entered an environment. I chose the Department of Interior Architecture to bring my imagination together with reality. During this period of pursuing my dreams, my opinions about the department increased positively. I learned how the designs I make serve a purpose by reflecting my imagination, that there are different perspectives that create the design, and how I should see angles that do not attract my attention or that I do not know about.

-You are currently in the double major program, are you having any difficulties in this process? Can you briefly tell us about this process? How do you think the two fields in which you do major support each other?

I benefit from the free DMP opportunity, which is one of the many areas that our school provides us with. I am doing a double major in Graphic Design Program. As you can appreciate, Interior Architecture is a difficult department on its own, and when the Graphic Design Program is added to it, I have a hard time. But I can say that my teachers are very supportive in this regard and are with me in every difficulty. As the name suggests, the Graphic Design Program contributes to my design process and also helps me understand in depth the applications I use in interior architecture and learn to apply them better.

-During your own work, is there an interior designer/architect whose designs you take inspiration from? Can you briefly tell us the reasons?

During the project design process, I always listen with admiration to my professors who evaluate my ideas in different dimensions, and in fact they are my main source of inspiration. If I had to name one of the famous architects, I would say Architect Emre Arolat, whose designs I admire with admiration.

-Which direction do you plan to take your career after your undergraduate education? What are your goals?

After finishing my education, I want to start working in an office where I can improve myself and see my designs become reality.
