 The Online Exhibition of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Research Project with Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören in the Project Team is Online!


The website titled "Arafta Bir Beyoğlu", designed as an online exhibition of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Research Project, in which Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören is a member of the project team, was launched.


The website titled "Arafta Bir Beyoğlu", which was designed as the online exhibition of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Research Project titled "Decisive Factors and Possible Scenarios in the Reconstruction of Historical City Centers: The Case of Istanbul Beyoğlu", in which Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören is a project team, was launched at www.araftabirbeyoglu.com. .
 
The project, which started in March 2018, was completed in May 2021 and the final report of the project was submitted to TÜBİTAK. The outputs of the research project were exhibited online on a website due to the pandemic process. “Trying to reveal the socio-spatial transformation of Beyoğlu, one of the most important historical centers of Istanbul, over time, in different periods”, the exhibition:
 
"Beyoğlu in History", which presents a chronology to examine the striking turning points in the historical development of Beyoğlu in six different periods,
"Beyoğlu in Its Own Language", which presents the residents' own life experiences and perspectives that evaluate Beyoğlu from many different perspectives,
“Sector Maps” presenting the important places in the memories of the main sectors identified with Beyoğlu and,
Beyoğlu consists of four basic parts, namely “Beyoğlu Today”, which seeks answers to the questions of what is the situation in Beyoğlu today, how it is evolving, how the district and its inhabitants are changing.
