 Res. Asst. Eliz Mutlu Attended Proquest Writer's Workshop Supporting Thesis Writing


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Interior Architecture Department Eliz Mutlu participated in the Proquest Writer Workshop Supporting Thesis Writing on July 28, 20212, which was held online.


In the workshop, whose main headings are Preparation for Writing the Thesis, Choosing a Topic and Starting Your Research, An Effective Literature Review and Hazal Yılmaz was involved as an instructor, the points that should be considered in the process of writing a good thesis were mentioned and the contribution of the right research methods in this process was mentioned. .
 
The workshop started by giving information on the importance of the preparation phase, which is an important step in the process of writing a thesis, and how this process can proceed successfully. He continued by mentioning that this stage should be started by examining good thesis examples. Then, the introduction, method, conclusion, discussion and references sections, which are the main sections of a thesis, were mentioned. What needs to be done to ensure the successful creation of these sections is explained in detail, item by item. Afterwards, it was mentioned how this process should work, in which the research topic should be defined first. It was emphasized that for a successful thesis process, the subject should be your area of interest first, that the interest in the subject is very important for this process to be successful and enjoyable, otherwise this long and tiring process can be very difficult.

It was stated that an effective literature review is very important for a successful thesis process, and how this process should proceed, and after giving information with important search engines, the first session of the workshop ended.
