Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department student Suat Akyel was the guest of the 4th session of the "Authoring Platform" event organized by the IGU Language, Thought and Literature Club on May 21, 2021.
Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department student Suat Akyel was the guest of the 4th session of the "Authoring Platform" event organized by the "Language, Thought and Literature Club" of Istanbul Gelişim University on May 21, 2021. In the event moderated by Nezire Gamze Ilıcak of IGU Turkish Language and Literature Department, our student gave a speech about her book "Escape" and her writing process to the event participants.
The second part of the event continued with the analysis of fairy tales and then the practice of writing a fairy tale. Nezire Gamze Ilıcak congratulated our student Suat Akyel before her presentation on rewriting fairy tales and the roles that fairy tales play in social development processes.
“I congratulate Suat very much. It is very nice that he has developed himself and released his book to the market with his own efforts. I hope all of our students develop themselves in such different areas. As a Turkish Language and Literature instructor, I would like to share this wish.”
In the continuation of the event, an attempt was made to write a fairy tale by examining Murathan Mungan's "Forty Rooms: A Snow White Without Seven Dwarfs" with all the participants, and at the end of the program, everyone shared the written tales with each other. Our student Suat Akyel expressed his thoughts on the 4th Session Event of the Authorship Platform as follows:
“As a very fresh pen in the world of literature, I am proud to be receiving attention from Istanbul Gelişim University, where I am a student. Under the leadership of our university's Turkish Language and Literature department; It was a pleasure to be invited to the 4th Session of the Creative Writing Platform organized by the Language, Thought and Literature Club. There is no doubt that the existence of such a meaningful formation and the organization of literary events in this period when the interest and interest in literature has decreased will be a light of hope for many young writers.
It was very valuable for me to share my experiences about my book called Escape, which I presented to the literary world at the beginning of the year, my feelings during the writing process, and my humble thoughts and feelings about literature, and to be appreciated by valuable academicians, and to witness the comments of my student friends, whom I predict will contribute greatly to the field of literature. I repeat the phrase "Literary states have eternity", which I always say to myself, and I would like to underline that I will live in the world of literature until eternity. I would like to express my gratitude to Pelin Ekşi of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature and the members of the Language, Thought and Literature Club, which is a valuable organization with her. However, I would also like to thank Gökçe Uzgören for her unwavering support from the first day of my book's release.”
We congratulate our student Suat Akyel and wish him continued success.
