Orientation Meeting was Held for Newly Appointed Instructors!
An orientation meeting was held for Erdem Çağla, Gökşen Sezen, Ömer Büber and Rabia Saltik, who have recently joined (IGU) Istanbul Gelişim University, (GSF) Faculty of Fine Arts, before starting their duties.
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Under the guidance of Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Deputy Dean Murat Doğan, Erdem Çağla on the Graphic Design Department, Gökşen Sezen on the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, Ömer Büber on the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, and Rabia on the Radio, Television and Cinema Department. The online meeting with Saltik over Google Meet started at 10:30.
The meeting was first attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak started with Aydınalp explaining himself and his deanship process to the new faculty members. After introducing himself, he introduced our university and talked about the place and importance of the Faculty of Fine Arts in our university. She gave information about our new location where the Faculty of Fine Arts will be relocated in the new academic year and the design process was undertaken by the Head of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, Zerrin Funda Ürük. prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp informed the new faculty members about the general work order in the Faculty of Fine Arts. He emphasized the necessity of preserving the hierarchical order, which is important in solving the problems that may be experienced in the faculty, and informing the students about this issue. After talking about the general arrangement of our faculty, he gave information about the preparation of the lessons and the class layouts. He stated that in the week of 14-18 February 2022, when the classes will start, it is necessary to introduce the courses to the students first. He also mentioned that in all departments within our faculty, our students have academic counseling hours specific to each course, and that during the weekly counseling hours, our students have the opportunity to get information about courses, assignments or exams, and to meet with the lecturers of the course online. He stated that our faculty is expected to contribute by providing information about publications such as magazines, bulletins and web pages that are kept up-to-date. prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp concluded her speech by wishing the new teaching staff success in their new duties.
