İstanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Interior Architecture Department Digital Promotional Video Shooting was held on Monday, 28.06.2021. Interior Architecture Department Res. See. Eliz Mutlu and Furkan Gezer, Engin Altun, Zeynep Aydın, Güzide Nur Ercan and Sidar Akgün, 4th grade students of the Department of Interior Architecture.
As the first step of the lifelong learning process, the digital promotional video of the Department of Interior Architecture, which aims to train interior architects who can produce efficient, original, sustainable, new concepts, furniture and designs by transferring the professional cultural and social knowledge they have acquired since the beginning of their undergraduate education, to their professional life, Video recordings were made where our students shared their experiences, feelings and opinions.
In the shootings carried out with our volunteer students in the design studio located in Gelişim Tower, Radio, Television and Cinema Department Res. See. Okan KIRBACI and Res. See. Eda ÇEKEMCI. After the speech of Interior Architecture Department Research Assistant Eliz MUTLU, in which she talked about the goals of the Department of Interior Architecture, and from the memories of Furkan GEZER, Engin ALTUN, Zeynep AYDIN, Güzide Nur ERCAN and Sidar AKGÜN, 4th grade students of the Department of Interior Architecture, during the promotional video shoots, They gave their speeches in which they talked about their experiences and opinions about the department.
Res. Asst. Eliz MUTLU's views on Digital Promotional Video Shoots are as follows:
“Due to the fact that I started working during the pandemic process where distance education was ongoing, I could not find the opportunity to meet with our students in the campus environment before. I really enjoyed getting together on the occasion of the promotional shoots. I hope that we will be together in better and healthier days with the transition to face-to-face education in the next term, I wish success to our graduates in their careers, and I wish a much more successful period for our students who will start their new semesters.”

Furkan GEZER (4th year student of Interior Architecture),
“It was exciting to step into school even for shooting after continuing our education at home during the pandemic period. Although it was a bit difficult as it was my first experience, after a while, we quickly adapted to each other and successfully filmed. Even though we had little time, the shoot was pretty fun. It was a pleasure to meet with our teachers in this way again. It was a good feeling to live and experience this day that I will miss as I remember it in the future.”
Engin ALTUN (4th year student of Interior Architecture),
“I attended the promotional film at the insistence of my friends, but we had a lot of fun during the shooting, so I have no regrets. Although there was a bit of tension while preparing for the shoot, the sincere help of our school's shooting team helped us to relieve the tension. It makes me happy to end my four-year education with such a memory, and I would like to thank my teachers for their support.”
Zeynep AYDIN (4th year student of Interior Architecture),
“When I heard about the promotional film shoot, I wanted to attend and let people know why I chose this school. In addition, closing the gap with the school and wanting to have a good memory with my friends were other reasons that made me participate. I was quite excited during the shoot, but the attention of the shooting team and their efforts to alleviate our excitement relieved me. I am happy to inform prospective students that Istanbul Gelişim University has added to its students.“
Güzide Nur ERCAN (4th year student of Interior Architecture),
“We didn't realize how excited we were before filming the trailer. But when the shooting crew came in, we couldn't suppress our excitement when we saw the equipment and we panicked a lot. We even forgot what we were going to say, but the warmth of the environment calmed us. We had one more moment to talk about with a laugh about Gelisim University in the future.”
