Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Student Hazal Güneş's First Article Has Been Published on Architecture and Design Platform

Hazal Güneş, a 4th year student at the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, joined the team of ARCHOLE, an architecture and design platform, as a writer, and her first article was published with the title "COMFORT TOWN, Inspired by Legos".

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department 4th year student Hazal Güneş joined the team of ARCHOLE, an architecture and design platform, as a writer. We interviewed our student about the process of being included in ARCHOLE and his first published article.

Hello Hazal. First of all, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Hello, I'm Hazal Gunes. I was born in Bursa, I grew up in Gaziantep. I am currently a senior student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. I am an extroverted, social person. I am very sensitive to my environment, nature and animals. I love to travel, explore, write and draw. I have 2 cats and a nuclear family of 4.

We know that you are involved in the ARCHOLE Platform as an author. First of all, congratulations. Can you tell us a little bit about the platform, how does it relate to the interior architecture and environmental design profession?

Thank you. I speak with great pleasure. You can find many things about architecture, interior architecture and design on the ARCHOLE Platform. There is a lot of content from interesting architectural information to design products, from various collaborations to architectural and urban projects. Thanks to the platform, you can follow the current trends of the industry and access different architectural and design information and news from all over the world. I can say that it is a platform that everyone in the interior architecture and environmental design profession can enjoy and read.

What kind of advantages do you think there are in terms of university education, of producing about your profession on such platforms while your student life continues?

Being involved in similar productions in my student life primarily ensures that my education life is full and productive. Besides, I think it gives a good social outlook for my post-student life. Engaging in such social activities in your business life can make you stand out. In addition, producing content can offer more diverse and interesting perspectives in school projects. Because I read and research a lot and this gives me a different perspective from time to time. It becomes an advantage in terms of producing and designing.

It was published in the first summer with the title “COMFORT TOWN Inspired by Legos”. Could you briefly talk about the reason for choosing this topic and the content of the article?

With the idea of going to Ukraine last year, I researched interesting places in the cities there and noted the Comfort Town Project at that time. Generally speaking, it was a place that attracted everyone's attention. It is a settlement that attracts people's attention because it is a city with a colorful and dynamic design. Also, it is a place that is not known much by people, so I chose Comfort Town as the subject of my first article so that people can read and discover information about this settlement. In the content of the article, I am talking about the details of a 40-hectare concrete development project. As stated in the title of the article, those who want to get detailed information about this project, which is similar to legos, can read the entire article on Archole.

Finally, do you have anything you want to say to your friends who are studying in the same department as you?

I feel very lucky and happy that I studied interior architecture and environmental design. I hope all my friends feel the same. I think it is one of the hardest but most enjoyable jobs. I hope that the friends studying in this department also develop themselves in this profession in a wonderful way by constantly producing, reading, traveling. I think our profession is a lifestyle. So I hope they will always be very proud and happy for choosing this lifestyle. I have always wanted to be a writer since I was little. Now I produce content about my profession, I write articles. Our profession has very wide wings, so it offers us a wide variety of lifestyles. I wish them to evaluate this feature of our profession. Thank you very much for this interview. Have a nice day.

We thank you for answering our questions and wish you continued success.
