Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari Appointed as Deputy Head of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Departments
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari, Head of Interior Architecture Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish) and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English).
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari, Head of Interior Architecture Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish) and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English).
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari completed her master's degree at Tehran University in 1999 with her thesis titled "The Evolution of Iranian Mosque Architecture". Later, Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari settled in Turkey and started her doctoral studies at Yıldız Technical University. She completed her doctoral education in 2018 with her thesis titled "Questioning Design Tools in the Early Stage of the Architectural Design Process: Pen and Paper vs Digital Sketch".
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari, who previously taught Architectural Design and Basic Design courses at various universities, will continue her academic career as the head of the Department of Interior Architecture at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, and the Deputy Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (in Turkish and English).
Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari expressed her feelings and thoughts about her new position as follows:
“My academic career is a journey that I am passionate about and started years ago, and at the new stop of this journey, I will work as the head of the department at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture, and as the deputy head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (in Turkish and English). It is exciting for me to continue this journey with its new and valuable academic staff and brand new students and I am pleased to be here. Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Departments aim to train designers who can produce contemporary creative solutions. In this direction, I hope to contribute to the development of students' ability to use technology efficiently, to produce creative, innovative and original interior spaces, by using the opportunities and potentials of the university and faculty and by revealing my fifteen years of academic experience.”
