A Technical Visit to the Building Fair was Held as part of the Building and Construction Information II Course!
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design İbrahim Erol attended the Building Fair, which has an important place for the discipline of interior architecture, together with the 2nd year students within the scope of the "Building and Construction Knowledge II" course. technical tour.
The fair, which was held at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 22-26 March; It brought together nearly 400 foreign purchasing professionals from 58 countries, mainly Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Qatar, the United Kingdom and Greece, with domestic business partners through hybrid methods in Istanbul. Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul, which is the most effective and longest-lasting cooperation and information sharing platform of the construction, architecture, construction materials and technologies sectors in the region, determined the roadmap of the new era for the building and construction materials sector with its events.
“Architectural Master Classes” Under the Leadership of Master Architects
On the second day of the fair, Building Master Class – Architectural Master Classes were held under the themes of “Environmental Sensitivity and Architectural Design” and “Interscale Parametric Design”. In the event with a limited quota, master architects Durmuş Dilekci, Şule Ertürk, Büşra Al, Volkan Taşkın and Dr. Accompanied by Cenk Dereli, the participants had the opportunity to chat about sustainable architecture, energy-efficient building materials, environmentally friendly projects, and innovative design and technology trends, while on the other hand, they visited the stands where applied products were learned.
İbrahim Erol expressed his feelings and thoughts about the Construction Fair and the technical trip as follows:
“While the students had the chance to see the building materials they learned in the course at the fair, they got more information about the materials by meeting with the sector representatives. Students had the chance to access catalogues, technical drawings and product samples related to many different product groups such as insulation materials, door-window systems, facade cladding systems and floor covering materials in the same day. In addition, they had the opportunity to closely follow the trends of the building industry by seeing new products and technologies whose R&D phase has just been completed at the fair.”
