Orientation event held for students of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design English Program
An orientation event was held by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design for students of the English Program as part of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. During the event, students were informed about the structure of the university, faculty and department, the academic staff, the education process, academic advising and communication channels.
An orientation event was organized by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design for students of the English Program as part of the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
The orientation event was held on September 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in J Block, Room 210. The academic staff of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and students of the English Program attended the event.
University, Faculty and Department Procedures Introduced
The event aimed to support students’ adaptation to the university, faculty and department environment; provide them with basic information about the academic structure and operation of the department; and inform them about issues they may need to know during the education process.
As part of the program, students were provided with general information about the structure of the university, faculty and department, as well as the education process of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.
During the event, the department’s academic staff were introduced and students were informed about the responsibilities of faculty members within the department. Academic advising processes were also explained, along with the advising and communication channels that students can use for academic matters.
Students’ Questions Answered and the Orientation Process Evaluated Through a Survey
During the question-and-answer session, topics that students were curious about regarding university and department life were addressed. Questions raised by the students were answered by the department’s academic staff.
At the end of the orientation event, an evaluation survey was administered to collect students’ opinions and feedback on the event. The survey aimed to gather students’ evaluations and provide data to help improve future information and orientation activities.
