Competition Purpose:
Each city constitutes an important point in the world with its history, nature and cultural richness. Our city, on the other hand, besides all its richness from the past to the present, such as its history, archeology, mythology and ceramics; It is equipped with the mission of tolerance and sharing that all its inhabitants have and protect. Our city, known as the "City of Peace" in the national and international arena, considers "Peace" as a life culture. The Festival, which has left half a century behind and started to work for the 56th, takes its name from Troia, one of the most famous ancient cities in the world. The Ancient City of Troia is on the Unesco World Heritage List, which includes cultural and natural assets that are considered the common heritage of all humanity, have universal values, and are worthy of appreciation and protection since 1998. It has witnessed thousands of years of time and hosted different civilizations. It is one of the most important values of human history and world culture. Contestants are expected to interpret “TROİA” and “PEACE” in their designs, taking into account the elements of the city and the above-mentioned values, within the life process of the city and its inhabitants and the phenomenon of transfer to the future.
The selection of posters for the purpose of announcing the "International Troia Festival", which is held every year in Çanakkale and will be held for the 56th time this year, and the posters found worthy of display among the designs participating in the competition are exhibited within the scope of the festival.

Participation Conditions:
The competition is open to all designers over the age of 18 throughout Turkey and internationally.
The competition is open to individual and team participation. A contestant / contestant team can participate with a maximum of three banners under different pseudonyms. If the poster sent as a team wins an award, the award is deposited to the representative account determined by all participants and declared with a wet signed report. The price of the prizes won as a group does not change. The price is paid on behalf of the group representative, not on behalf of each member of the group, in the amount specified in Article 6.
The participants of the competition accept that the signed participation form and posters, which they are obliged to give to Çanakkale Municipality, are original and belong to them, that they have not participated in any competition with this work or works before, and that they have not been exhibited anywhere, and that the provisions of this specification are exactly the same. Posters without a participation form will not be evaluated. (Posters that do not meet these conditions will be excluded from the competition, even if they are deemed worthy of an award or exhibition.)
All posters participating in the competition, which are deemed worthy of award and display, will belong to Çanakkale Municipality free of charge and indefinitely, and will not be returned. Publishing these posters, which Çanakkale Municipality obtained through the competition, in television, internet, social media and any other digital media; will have the right to publish and distribute it in catalogues, brochures, posters, books, CDs, videos and other media, as well as to send it to educational and cultural institutions in the country and abroad, and to make national and international news.
When deemed necessary, the selection committee may ask the poster owner to make changes on the poster and to work on the festival program design. For this, Çanakkale Municipality does not make any payment other than the award amount.
A competitor can participate in the competition with a maximum of three posters and can be awarded more than one award.
Contestants will be deemed to have accepted the conditions of the competition and the decisions of the Selection Committee (Jury).
There is no limitation in the use of color and technique in poster works. However, the colors that can be obtained with four-color (CMYK) offset printing technology should not be exceeded. The works will be in 300 dpi resolution.
Posters, 50×70 cm. will be worked vertically. As a verbal message supporting the visual design on the posters, “56. International Troia Festival” phrase will be included. Posters that do not contain the specified phrase will not be evaluated.
The digital original of the posters should be worked with Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Photoshop (.eps) or Photoshop (.psd ) or Photoshop (.tiff) versions with the program extension clear and the layers open. The works will be printed and sent as 50×70 vertically minimum 3 mm photoblock printing. (For a 50×70 cm banner, the net print area should be 48×68 cm.) Only banners with photoblock printing will be taken into consideration. Banners brought/sent as rolls, A3-A4 prints will not be received by hand or by courier mail. Originals must be at least 300 dpi in CMYK mode.
The digital original of the award-winning posters will be requested by the Jury after the results of the competition are announced. The work original
