The Second Phase of the Beyoğlu Mızıkacıları Project is Complete!

Compassion Meets Social Awareness

Inspired by the selfless efforts of a local animal lover who feeds dozens of cats every day in the streets of Cihangir, this project aims to do more than just deliver food. Its mission is to raise public awareness about the needs of street animals, foster compassion, and instill a sense of social responsibility in students.

A Journey of Support in Three Stages

This impactful project was carried out in three stages to bring relief to the street cats:

1. Step One: The project team met with the local animal lover to learn about their daily routine—how they help, which routes they follow, and how many cats they care for. This route became a guide for understanding the lives of the cats and their needs.
2. Step Two: A major cat food donation campaign was launched at Istanbul Gelişim University. Social media announcements encouraged students to come together and contribute to the cause.
3. Step Three: The collected food was distributed along the designated routes in Cihangir. Students and local volunteers worked hand-in-hand to provide food and water for the cats, ensuring their basic needs were met.

Together, We Are Stronger

This project goes beyond simply feeding street cats; it has sparked a sense of community and solidarity. By working alongside volunteers, students experienced the power of collective action. Every street, every bowl of food, became a testament to the strength of love and empathy.

Aiming for Greater Awareness

At the project’s conclusion, photos and videos captured during the initiative will be used to launch a wider awareness campaign. The goal is to inspire others across Istanbul and Turkey to join this movement, showing how simple yet impactful helping street animals can be.
