The orientation meeting, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp and the Deputy Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, was held at the Tusi Conference Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts on Tuesday, March 1 at 11:00.
The meeting started with the speech of Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Aydınalp first introduced himself to the team by introducing himself, and after introducing himself, he continued his speech by giving general information about the Faculty of Fine Arts.
After Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp's speech, Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, took the floor. Doğan also entered by introducing himself, and then he met the new staff members one by one. After the introduction part, he gave general information about the mission, vision and purpose of Istanbul Gelişim University Fine Arts Faculty. Then he moved on to the presentation of the current data of the faculty.
Murat Doğan, in his presentation, explained how many departments there are in the faculty and the number of students in these departments, the differences and prominent features of the departments, the aptitude test and how this exam is conducted, the number of academic staff in the faculty staff, academic titles, academic duties, horizontal transfer / vertical transfer opportunities in the departments and The number of students coming with these opportunities, the scientific studies of the lecturers, social responsibility projects, the exhibitions of the lecturers, the exhibitions of the students, the film workshops, our faculty journal ART/icle: Journal of Art and Design, the Monthly Bulletin of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the student handbook and the student orientation. He talked about many topics that highlight the Faculty of Fine Arts, such as the handbook, the web site of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the up-to-dateness of the site, the use of social media accounts belonging to the faculty, and the TAYF International Short Film Festival, the first of which was organized by our faculty this year. Stating that they have a student-oriented approach, Doğan also opened a parenthesis to the guest students and talked about the number of guest students and the countries they came from.
After the presentation, a question and answer session was held with the Public Relations and Publicity Department personnel who attended the orientation meeting. Doğan answered the questions asked one by one and shed light on the curious subjects.
The orientation meeting came to an end after Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, congratulated the newly recruited staff and presented his best wishes and wishes.
