Organized by Rumeli University, the 1st International Design Symposium discusses the interaction of contemporary approaches in architecture, art, and design with various disciplines and scientific studies. In the symposium held online between 27-28 April 2023, Communication and Design Department Res. Asst. Making the presentation at the session held on Friday, April 28, 2023, Kılıç discussed the use of Deepfake, a current technology, in the field of art.

Deepfake technology is an image animation technology that allows images of a real person or object to be rearranged using artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques. This technology has also been used in the field of art in recent years. In particular, works of famous artists, artists themselves, and important historical figures can be revived with deep fake technology, or new works of art can be produced with this artificial intelligence technology, and existing works or owners of works can be revived. The example of Salvador Dali is an example of the use of deep fake technology in museums.
