The "From Tradition to the Future: From Sports to Brotherhood" Project, led by Lecturer Ahmet Bikiç from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Communication, and Design Department of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), takes place with the collaboration of 4 countries and 5 different institutions, with Ahmet Bikiç serving as the director of the Danish segment of the project. The project aims to address various aspects of ethnic sports, including promoting their spread, preserving cultural values, highlighting the health benefits of sports, and their potential to bring communities together.
One of the main components of the project is the creation of a documentary about ethnic sports. This documentary aims to provide viewers with an in-depth look into the history and significance of traditional sports. Similarly, as part of the project, a promotional film is being prepared to introduce the project's goals and participants to a wide audience.
The project also includes organizing an international ethnic sports photography competition. This competition offers photographers a platform to capture various aspects of sports, introducing and sharing cultural heritage.
