 İpek Erdem was the first guest of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nagihan Çakar Bikiç's Career in Cinema Talks!


İpek Erdem was the first guest of the "Career Talks in Cinema" moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nagihan Çakar Bikiç, Head of Communication and Design Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA).


Within the scope of "Career Talks in Cinema", moderated by Nagihan Çakar Bikiç, an interview titled "Being a Woman in Cinema" was held with İpek Erdem. İpek Erdem described herself and her career as follows:
 
“I guess I am a person who is in love with art and was created for art. I started on the set of Life Science when I was only 18 years old and suddenly I became the Barbie of Turkey (…) I think that everything that exists must be something that pushes, supports and squeezes my creativity.”

CROSSROADS is an international short film competition and festival that mediates the meeting of cultures and aims for all cinema lovers and filmmakers to bring their short films with the theme of “Gender Equality” to the big screen. Within the scope of the festival, seminars, panels, interviews, short film screenings and workshops are organized. In the competition section, fictional, experimental, animated and documentary short films with the theme of “Gender Equality” compete and their directors are awarded at a prestigious gala night. The first gala screening of the festival, whose adventure began in New York, was held at the famous Tribeca Film Hall in New York, and then the festival book was promoted at Katharine Gibbs College in Manhattan.
