Every year November 10, the day of commemoration of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, is commemorated with great respect and longing throughout the country and abroad. This date is the day to keep alive the memory of not only a leader but also a revolutionary, a teacher, a commander, and a visionary.
Ataturk is a name that continues to live in memories as the leader not only of his own time but also of future generations. As the leader of the national independence struggle, he gifted his nation independence and a modern state and gained a unique place in the heart of the Turkish nation.
November 10 is not just a date, but also a day of mourning. It is our duty as citizens of the Republic of Turkey to protect Atatürk's legacy and keep his principles alive, and to remember and keep alive the values he left us such as the Republic, democracy, secularism, modernity and national unity, on this special day.
This special day is an opportunity to focus on Ataturk's life, leadership, and thoughts, and to understand and adopt his principles. Ataturk was a leader who believed in the importance of science, culture, education, and art and laid the foundations of a modern society. Protecting and developing these values is an expression of our gratitude and respect for him.
Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's Commemoration Day should be spent in unity and solidarity, with love and respect. We must not forget our responsibility to carry Turkey to a brighter future by keeping alive the legacy he left us. While we commemorate Atatürk with love, respect, and gratitude, we must continue our determination to reach a stronger tomorrow in unity and solidarity by following in his footsteps.
