 Faculty of Fine Arts Moved to its New Campus!


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) moved to its new campus in the spring term of 2021-2022.


The Faculty of Fine Arts includes a total of seven departments, including Graphic Design, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Communication Design, Interior Architecture, Radio, Cinema and Television, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (in English), which was established this year.

After the completion of the classrooms on the 2nd floor of the J Block, designed by the Head of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zerrin Funda ÜRÜK, from the E Block, where the Faculty of Fine Arts has been teaching since 2011, the foundation year of Istanbul Gelişim University, all departments moved with the teaching staff. In the Faculty of Fine Arts, Block K, in the 20th Floor, Faculty of Communication Design (ILT), Radio, Television and Cinema (RTS), Graphic Design (GRA) and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts (GMS) departments and Dean of Fine Arts Faculty and Secretariats, in the 14th floor, The lecturers of Interior Architecture (IMI), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (ICM) and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Eng (IAE)) departments and Interior Architecture Studio, in the 5th floor, the drawing workshop of the Graphic Design Department,  on the 3rd floor, The Mobile Cinema of -the RadioTelevision and Cinema Department, in the 2nd floor of Block J common classrooms are exist.

Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin ILICAK AYDINALP shared her thoughts on the new campus as follows:
 
“In these days when we moved to our new campus, we have high energy and we are ready for new projects with the change of location. The fact that we have a working environment together with all our teaching staff motivates us. The strong synergy we have achieved will contribute to our team spirit and we will enter a much more successful process. Our Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Head Dr. Instructor It will take a shorter time for us to adapt to our new campus with our classrooms in J Block, the spacious environment of our offices, our wide working environment, and the wide opportunities provided by our university. I wish our new working environment to be beneficial for our faculty”.
