Curated by Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu, one of the faculty members of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Fine Arts Faculty (FAF) Graphic Design Department, the exhibition titled “Dreams and Colors” consisting of the works of Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz started to be exhibited at Gelişim Art Gallery on October 20, 2022. The “Dreams and Colors” exhibition was opened to visitors at 13:00 with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu. İsmet Çavuşoğlu introduced the artist and academician Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz and gave brief information about the exhibited works. Underlining that he is very happy for the exhibition of a valuable artist like Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz to take place at Istanbul Gelişim University Art Gallery, Çavuşoğlu expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed throughout the period from the preparation stage to the opening. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz stated that he was “happy to present his works to the audience under the roof of Istanbul Gelişim University”. Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz said that he is fed by literature, music, mythology and cinema in his works. Also, underlining that the artist's production of works in a different direction than everyone else is related to his creativity, he conveyed his views with the words "It is the artist's own creativity to go beyond the ordinary and use his brush in a different way".
“The Exhibition Waits For Its Visitors Until 7 November”
The exhibition was opened with ribbon cutting by artist and academician Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz, Dean of Fine Arts Faculty Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu from GSF Graphic Design Department and Head of Graphic Design Program Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Günay. After the opening, Istanbul Gelişim University Fine Arts Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp presented Prof. Dr. Selahattin Ganiz with a plaque. The exhibition titled "Dreams and Colors", featuring 56 different works by Ganiz, awaits its visitors at Istanbul Gelişim University Tower Gelişim Art Gallery until Monday, November 7th.
