The Communication and Design Department has begun preparations for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. In the meeting opened by the Department Head, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kasar, the faculty members discussed evaluations from the previous term and shared ideas for the upcoming term.
During the meeting, various ideas were exchanged about course content, departmental stakeholders, and planned events for the new academic year. There was a particular emphasis on increasing social responsibility projects and providing students with more practical experiences.
It was decided that students would actively participate in the 2nd Dicle Short Film Festival, an event in which the department is a stakeholder, with some students even taking roles in the organization. It was emphasized that the necessary support would be provided to ensure students gain industry experience by actively participating in such events.
Furthermore, the importance of organizing an Inter-High School Short Film Competition, the current status of the festival, and potential actions were discussed.
Faculty members also offered suggestions for Artistic Development Activities to be conducted in collaboration with the Student Dean’s Office in the new term. The goal is to diversify these activities and encourage students to engage in creative projects.
The faculty members expressed their excitement for the new term and their belief that they will accomplish many successful projects together with the students.
