2022-2023 Academic Year Academic Board Meeting Was Held

Faculty of Fine Arts 2023-2023 Academic Year Academic Board Meeting was held on Friday, September 30, 2022 in K Block Firnas Auditorium. At the meeting, where information and reminders about the new period were made, the current student numbers of the departments, the introduction of the new academic staff joining the faculty, the number of students coming to the departments with horizontal / vertical transfer, guest students, the number of scientific publications of the academic staff, social responsibility projects, workshops and interviews carried out by the departments, interviews, exhibitions by lecturers, student exhibitions, awards won by lecturers and students, Monthly Bulletin of the Faculty of Fine Arts, student handbook and student orientation handbook, Faculty of Fine Arts website, social media accounts of the faculty, ART/icle: Art and Design Magazine were mentioned.

What awaits the Faculty of Fine Arts and its Students?

Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp talked about what awaits the Faculty of Fine Arts and its students and what it can do for the future at the academic board meeting. Talking about the new courses opened within the scope of the eco-curriculum, the social responsibility projects that the departments have started, the events to be held, interviews, exhibitions and the newly created Art Gallery Team, Aydınalp emphasized the congresses and topics planned to be organized and the Interior Architecture English Department planned to be opened.



A Student-Focused Approach

After Dean Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Deputy Dean Asst. Prof. Dr.  Murat Doğan started his speech by thanking all the Research Assistants who contributed to the adaptation during and after the pandemic process. Murat Doğan made reminders about the situations that should be considered and the problems that may be experienced with the transition to face-to-face training. Doğan reminded that Gelişim University is a student-oriented university and underlined the need to pay attention to student satisfaction.

Strategies of Department Was Shared

After Aydınalp and Doğan's speeches, the department heads were called to the stage one by one to convey the determined department goals and strategies of all departments. Head of Graphic Design Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Kuş, who took the stage to make a speech, and Head of Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak, Head of Communication and Design Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kasar, Head of Radio, Television and Cinema Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Head of Department of Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (in Turkish and English) Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari drew attention to important points about their departments.

The meeting ended after the best wishes for the fall semester were presented.
