Two Projects from RTS in the 2nd “Kısadan Anlat” Short Film Competition!
Two short film projects “Empty Stomachs” produced by Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci and “İyi ki Varsın” directed and produced by Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema were qualified to be a finalist in the 2nd “Kısadan Anlat” Short Film Competition.
Radio, Television, and Cinema Department academicians became finalists in the 2nd “Kısadan Anlat” Short Film Competition organized by Küçükçekmece Municipality. Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci made her presentations with the project "Empty Stomachs", which she produced, and Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu with the project "İyi ki Varsın", which he directed and produced.

Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci, who previously participated in the competition at the 22nd International Izmir Short Film Festival with her project "Empty Stomachs" and was awarded the best project award and was awarded the project support by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, continues to work on the funding of the project. Having made it to the finals in the 6th İKSV Short Film Workshop and ARUFF Final Draft Platform before the jury, Çekemci presented her project to the jury this time in the 2nd “Kısadan Anlat” Short Film Competition. She presented her project in front of a jury who are producers Dilek Aydın, producer Zeynep Atakan, and director Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun. Describing her project with Ahmet Toğaç, the director of the project, Çekemci stated that they got very close to the set and that the festival journey of the project will continue in the next period.
Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu, who was a finalist at the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival with his other short film project “One Way” and received a lot of support with his project, talked about his new short film project "İyi ki Varsın" in front of the jury. Expressing that the journey of the project has just begun, Yükseloğlu stated that the 2nd “Kısadan Anlat” Short Film Competition is the first stop of the project. Answering the questions of the jury, Yükseloğlu explained what kind of journey he planned with his project and his goals to the audience.
