In the film, it is told that a screenwriter, who achieved many successes at an early age, had difficulties in producing, and his connection with reality during the writing process of his new screenplay, which he started after the difficulty, is told. The entire crew of the film, whose festival process is still in progress, consists of third-year students from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema. The screenplay was written by Berk Köse and Ferit Doğan, the director was Berk Köse, and the producer was Berk Köse, Beyza Sude Yüksel, Buğra Cihan Çakır, Ferit Doğan, İsmail Akbal, and Senanur Sevim. The cinematographer was Buğra Cihan Çakır and the art director was Ferit Doğan. Ferit Doğan, Beyza Sude Yüksel, Mekan Orazov, Uğur Berat Kaya and İsmail Akbal starred in the film.
The director of the film, Berk Köse, made statements about where they got their motivation for the project:
“The Process is an independent film. When we first showed the movie to the audience, everyone was producing interesting theories from the movie. Different criticisms, interesting meanings, etc. all the viewers were covered with question marks after the movie. This is exactly what we wanted to do while writing the script with my friend Ferit. Creating an open-ended scenario. We were taking the audience out of the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the movie all of a sudden. The audience either wanted the movie to continue or they came to us with different interpretations and questions. After all this, we realized that we had reached our goal. If I talk about the movie, the movie is about the scriptwriting process of a blocked screenwriter name Sinan Çelik and who can no longer produce content. We can go into the depths of this character with the speech in the introductory part of the movie. In the continuation of the movie, our character starts a new scenario. While he was writing, we see both what he wrote and the images that came to mind. We can also recognize the characters written by the screenwriter here. The interesting and impressive part of the movie is that it is a script within a script. While watching, the concept of the universe gets confused in the mind of the viewer. Is it still a dream or is it real? Is the character still asleep? Did he add himself to his script? These kinds of questions are starting to come back to mind. Other interesting parts of the movie are the masks. They are characters that the screenwriter could not complete, that he had previously written and left unfinished. These masquerades have a faceless precursor. This faceless person represents the beginning of everything. In my opinion, there are 3 universes in the movie: the script written by Sinan Çelik, the universe Sinan Çelik lives in, and our universe.”
We congratulate our students and wish them continued success.
